# Buntop — Illustrative Plant Integration Assessment

Example v1.0, October 2026. Fictional findings; not a client assessment, approval, certification or executed test record.

## Purpose
Review one existing packaging line’s equipment-to-MES event path. Excludes PLC changes, safety modifications, production release and live commands.

## Architecture
Equipment/PLC → approved local collection → context and quality checks → historian/MES interface. Control remains local. Actual products and database engines must be confirmed.

## Example gaps
- G-01: Clocks not reconciled. Agree on time source, tolerance and checks.
- G-02: Retry behavior undocumented. Define identity, acknowledgment and reconciliation.
- G-03: Asset/batch context incomplete. Approve mapping and exception behavior.
- G-04: Recovery ownership unclear. Assign owners and exercise recovery.

## Requirements and evidence
- R-01: Preserve value, unit and quality. Compare source and destination; retain mapping and comparison results.
- R-02: Reconcile interruptions. Exercise disconnection/restoration and compare event counts and IDs.
- R-03: Restrict access. Test permitted/denied actions against the access matrix.
- R-04: Preserve context. Test correct, missing and conflicting context with process/quality owners.

## Gates
Agree scope and baseline; approve test design/access; complete normal and recovery checks; review deviations; accept evidence and handover. Thresholds must be agreed before execution.

## GxP extension
Define applicable records and signatures with quality owners. Add risk assessment, traceability, change control and controlled approvals. This sample does not establish compliance.

## Open decisions
Interfaces, database products, retention, recovery targets, owners, pilot effort and fee remain to be confirmed.
